Dr Tan Kheng Lian 陈琼莲医生
(Chairman)

Dr Tan Kheng Lian, daughter of Tan Chin Tuan, is the chairman of the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation.

An eye surgeon in private practice, Dr Tan graduated from the University of Malaya in 1958, and furthered her medical studies at the Royal College of Physicians of London, the Royal College of Surgeons of England and then, the Academy of Medicine at Singapore. She volunteers for charity eye-care missions in Asia.
Chew Gek Khim 周玉琴
(Deputy Chairman)

Ms Chew Gek Khim serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation in Singapore and Chairman of The Tan Sri Tan Foundation in Malaysia. Active in community and public service, she also chairs the National Environment Agency Board, and sits on the Singapore Totalisator Board and the Securities Industry Council.

Ms Chew is also the Executive Chairman of the Tecity Group of investment companies, founded by the late Tan Sri Tan Chin Tuan, a former banker and philanthropist. The Tecity Group is the parent company of The Straits Trading Company. Ms Chew also serves on the board of CapitaRetail China Trust, a listed trust of the CapitaLand Group.

Ms Chew assumed the position of Executive Chairman of The Straits Trading Company Limited on 1 November 2009. Prior to that, she was the Company’s Non-Executive and Non-Independent Chairman from 24 April 2008.

A lawyer by training, Ms Chew graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1984, and practised law with local firm Drew & Napier, where she specialized in corporate law, before joining the Tecity Group in 1987.
Chew Gek Hiang 周玉香

Ms Chew Gek Hiang has been a council member of the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation since 1991.

She is very actively involved in several animal welfare groups in Singapore and Malaysia, Noah's Ark CARES and Noah's Ark Lodge. Noah's Ark CARES in Singapore focuses on the sterilization of stray animals. Noah's Ark Lodge has an animal sanctuary in Johore which houses 1,000 animals that have been abandoned by their previous owners.

An accountant by training, Ms Chew graduated from National University of Singapore in 1986, and joined Ernst and Whinney in Singapore. She was then attached to Ernst and Young (London) from 1987 to 1991 attaining her certificate of membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1991.
Chew Kwee San 周贵山

Mr Chew Kwee San has been a Council Member of the Tan Chin Tuan Foundation since 1998.

He is an active volunteer and been involved in the Anglo-Chinese School Old Boys' Association Management Committee, YMCA Education Centre Management Committee, Organising Committee of The Boys' Brigade Sharity Gift Box, which was awarded the Singapore Youth Award for Community and Youth Services in 2004, and Citibank-YMCA Youth for Causes.

In 1981, Professor Cham Tao Soon became the founding President of Nanyang Technological University which he relinquished in December 2002. Now, he is the Chancellor and Chairman of SIM University.

Prof Cham is also the Chairman of NATSTEEL Ltd and MFS Technology Ltd, deputy chairman of Singapore Press Holdings Ltd, a director of United Overseas Bank Ltd, WBL Corporation Ltd and Soup Restaurant Group Ltd. In addition, he serves as a member of the Council of Presidential Advisers, a board member of Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Chairman of the Singapore Symphonia Co Ltd (SSO), Singapore-China Foundation Ltd (SCF), Nanyang Fine Arts Foundation Ltd and Singapore Quality Award (SQA) Governing Council.
